Our BW-LP 100 RO and SW-LP 300 membranes have been used to treat different groundwater sources in State of Qatar. There was a wide range of salinities found in the ground water collected from different wells (farms) ranging from 6,000 to 21,000 ppm. It was found that the freshwater production using our developed RO membranes were higher than any commercial membrane (BW and SW RO membranes) by almost 30% with a lower operation pressure and high salt rejection. Additionally, the membranes were stable for over a year without any decline in flux or reduction in salt rejection resulted in low pressure drops of the flux in the high-pressure vessel.
